Trek Mountain Bikes
Trek Mountain Bikes
Trek started out building custom hand brazed steel touring bicycle frames in 1976 targeting the mid to high end market dominated by imported Japanese and Italian made models. That first year, Trek delivered 900 frame sets with a payroll of five working out of an old barn in Waterloo, Wisconsin.
It wasn’t until 1982, after the company moved into a new and bigger factory from the old barn, that Trek started building complete bikes. Two steel road racing bikes, the 750 and 950, were introduced that year. The following year, Trek introduced its first mountain bike, the 850. In 1984 Trek expended their offerings with aftermarket parts and accessories by launching its Trek Components Group (TCG) department to sell everything from helmets to computers for your bike.
Now-a-days, these is a Trek mountain bike designed for just about any type of mountain bike riding, price range and riding experience. Trek is among the most trusted bicycle companies with a great number of experienced bikers.
Trek’s full line of mountain bikes includes the Fuel EX, Top Fuel, Remedy, Scratch, 3700, Skye, 4500, 6000, 8500, Elite, and 820.
